Procuracon is a Perth-based construction tech startup founded by Cuong Ly that is looking to revolutionise the construction-supplier marketplace.
Cuong teamed up with Andrew McColgan and together, they are on a mission to revitalise an industry that for too long has selected suppliers almost entirely based on the cheapest price.
Streamlining construction procurement processes, the platform centralises key supplier data all in one place. New and intuitive procurement functionality facilitates finding and pre-qualifying suitable suppliers such as consultants and subcontractors within specific regions. This can happen in minute, with significant time and cost savings to both suppliers and clients.
Cuong, who comes from an architecture and project management background, pointed out that the construction industry needs much more than suppliers’ websites and directories to manage project risk. Directories and panel arrangements for commercial suppliers have worked in the past as safe procurement shortcuts, however today’s construction projects need to take into account even greater market diversity, innovation and value for money.
This realisation catalysed the first development of the platform and he notes that it would be “more transparent and collaborative”.
The platform has been well-received by the construction industry and many have indicated a significant interest for early adoption.
New releases
Six other procurement modules are planned for release over the coming years including new and improved ways for quoting and tendering for projects, streamlining even further processes for construction.
The team is currently focusing on growth and marketing along with exploring partnerships with other innovative platforms and sourcing investment to help make the construction industry even more sustainable.
The Procuracon pre-qualification platform will be open to the market later this year, for which you can register your interest here.
