There are two types of founders — those who are constantly seeking knowledge and want to learn from others’ experiences and points of view, and those who don’t.
Thankfully, you’re reading this so you fit into the former column. One of the easiest ways to consume knowledge is through podcasts; you can listen in while out on a walk, at the gym, or on a road trip.
We surveyed some of the brightest minds in our network — from unicorn founders to angels and VCs — to find out which podcasts they listen to. Below are eleven podcasts that were recommended, so add them to your subscribe list and tell us what you think.
Weird Growth
If you’re from the West Aussie startup ecosystem, you’ve probably already heard of, and listen to, Weird Growth. It’s a podcast about the weird journey to growth that founders take and the lessons learned along the way, hosted by founder of Ammo Marketing, Cam Sinclair.
Startup West
We’re a little biased on this one and were happy that so many people recommended it. Startup West is a podcast produced by Startup News and covers interviews with people from the WA startup community. It’s 110 episodes in so there are many great conversations to learn from.

Strap in and get ready for one of our personal favourites. The Acquired podcast produces well-researched stories that dive into the back story of many well-known international companies. Some of our favourite episodes include LVMH, Microsoft, Hermès, and Visa.
The Drunk Ideas Podcast
This is the newest podcast on the list and is hosted by Natasha Prévot, co-founder of Techvisa, and me. This podcast explores those crazy ideas we’ve all had but never followed through on. We discuss a different idea in each episode and explore how we would execute it, whether we think it could be viable or not, how we’d acquire our first 100 customers and everything in-between.
