Popular innovation festival, _SOUTHSTART // ODYSSEY, is returning to Adelaide next month.
Supported by the South Australian Government, the festival will bring together founders, industry leaders and funders to converse and reflect on the illusive world of creation; creating an authentic, valuable and deeply insightful community of support and wisdom.
_SOUTHSTART is designed to create paths to new global connections through an immersive syllabus of in-person masterclasses, conversations, investment connections, activations, wellbeing activities and regional escapades. The festival will provide an opportunity for participants to learn, share and connect while showcasing the best of South Australia.
Established in 2013, __SOUTHSTART has fast gained momentum as the operator of Australia’s leading innovation festival. _SOUTHSTART impacts founders and attendees by creating a sense of community around entrepreneurship and innovation with the support the festival provides the start-up sector delivering flow-on benefits to the South Australian economy.
This year marks the sixth _SOUTHSTART program curated by Directors Craig Swann and Danielle Seymour.

A key program highlight, the Angel Summit in partnership with Southern Angels, will be held at Adelaide’s iconic National Wine Centre and will see 120 of Australia’s leading Angel Investors come together to help founders thrive.
Alongside the Angel Summit, _SOUTHSTART // ODYSSEY will deliver a Scaleup Summit. In partnership with global management consulting firm McKinsey & Company, the summit will bring together 80 leading scaleups to unwind and dive deeper into their growth journey through sharing with those who are going through a similar journey.
As our audience continues to grow and mature, we are strengthening our focus on curating targeted programmatic elements that cross over at critical touch points. This will enable us to continue to mobilise the cross-sector connections that stand as a critical piece to Australia’s innovation race, while strengthening the pillars that will drive the longevity of success.
