From the 18 startups Plus Eight’s bootcamp a few weeks ago, 11 have been chosen to progress into the next phase of the annual accelerator program, which kicks off on 26 June.
Plus Eight Accelerator is a six-month, seed-funded program that has been helping local startups since 2017. Now in its seventh year, it has invested more than $2M to date across its various cohorts, and facilitated a further $16M of capital raising in follow-on investment, and claims a total portfolio valuation of $106M.
The program includes world-class mentoring, international immersion trips, business connections, weekly access to Entrepreneur in Residence sessions with Derek Gerrard, masterclasses with industry experts, 1 on 1 mentoring … before a final selection of startups is made to move into the final phase.
This final group of selected founders will then receive a share in more than $400,000 of seed funding, an international immersion trip where they will meet international VCs and investors, and the opportunity to pitch at the program’s final Demo Night, held as part of West Tech Fest.
