Back for its seventh year, Spacecubed‘s Plus Eight accelerator program is now open for 2023 applications, and has more than $400,000 of money available to invest in the chosen startups.
As well as funding, the competitive program provides mentor support, networking opportunities, learning, an international trip and promotion for WA-based startups.
The program will accept up to 20 entrepreneurs for an initial weekend bootcamp before narrowing down the top founders to 12 for phase one, and finally 6-8 for the final phase, who will each receive a share of the $400K+ and will pitch at the program’s final Demo Night later in the year as part of West Tech Fest.
“Only those with strong growth trajectories, and the resilience to succeed will be selected,” said a statement from Spacecubed.
Spacecubed has collaborated with a team of industry experts, mentors, funders and alumni to ensure selected participants have access to the resources and information they need to scale fast, both domestically and globally. Program participants will learn about working in a global market, growth strategies, strategic finance, accessing funding, distribution, marketing, and other important elements of scaling, to help them enter new markets and take their businesses to the next level.
New corporate partner Adapt by Design joins Woodside Energy, RAC BetterLabs, Capricorn Society, Hawaiian, Vici Ventures, Jackson McDonald, and DFK Gooding Partners and Community Partners, West Tech Fest, Bloom, CERI – Centre for Entrepreneurial Research and
Innovation and Perth Biodesign in supporting the 2023 program.
For interested companies, program inclusions involve:
- access to a pool of over $400,000 seed-funding
- an international immersion trip to discover new export markets
- access to key experts, innovators, investors and talent.
