// If you missed it last week, a recording of the online pitch fest is available here, in which 11 Incite Award nominees pitched their startups or research projects…
Eleven brave startups and researchers pitched ‘live’ online last Friday afternoon to an audience of 200 or so, drawn from all around Australia and overseas, in the first ever all virtual Lateral Incite Awards PitchFest.
Some were pitching for the first time, others were breaking new ground by doing it all online (usually, to a camera phone). The technology all worked supremely well, as each person was interviewed beforehand, then had to watch themselves pitch (pre-recorded) and then hear feedback from the judges Greg Riebe, Kali Norman and Mark Pownall.
It all seemed to go off without a hitch, and if you missed it, it’s all here, including a welcome message from the Minister for Innovation, Dave Kelly MLA, naming sponsor Tommy Shin from Lateral and a discussion with former Incite Awards winner Jeremy Lu from GroupMap…
Congrats to the winner of the PitchFest Claire Orange from Digii Social, who also took out the audience vote with the People’s Choice award.
Congrats also to all those that participated in the PitchFest, as the standard was very high:
- Dior Etherton, Curtin University
- Tyler Spooner, Uno Group

- Jason Waller, InteliCare
- Nyan Walker, Breathe2Go
- Nathan Clifford, Terra Vision with CASA

The main Lateral Incite Awards this year will also be held online, and is set for 6pm on Fri 24th July.
