Invest and Trade Western Australia is seeking to support ten startups to attend London Tech Week 2024. Here’s what you need to know.
What is London Tech Week?
London Tech Week is an annual event that celebrates the thriving technology ecosystem in London and the broader UK. Think of it like a supersized version of West Tech Fest.
It typically features a series of conferences, exhibitions, workshops, and networking events focusing on various aspects of technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship. The event brings together tech enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, and thought leaders from around the world to discuss the latest trends, showcase cutting-edge innovations, and explore opportunities for collaboration and growth within the tech industry.
Every June, London Tech Week attracts some very high-profile speakers. This year, some of the standouts for us are:
- Zak Brown — CEO McLaren Racing
- Lila Ibrahim — COO, Google DeepMind
- Charlotte Hogg — CEO, Visa Europe
- Stephan Kuester — Head of Ecosystem Strategy, Startup Genome
- Cameron Adams — Co-founder, Canva
What’s included?
If your EOI is successful, you’ll have access to exclusive opportunities including:
- A welcome reception hosted by the Invest and Trade Western Australia UK Office
- A business networking event co-hosted by the Australia-UK Chamber of Commerce and the Invest and Trade Western Australia UK Office
- Workshops hosted by the UK’s Department of Business and Trade (DBT), including a regional session, and insights into market entry considerations
- Access to the London Tech Week program, including conference access
You’ll be responsible for your own travel costs, including return flights, accommodation, insurance, meals, and incidental costs, as well as any equipment rental at the event.
