// // A new way for WA health businesses to launch and grow, its proponents argue.

Enterprise development-service provider Business Station, with partnership from Edith Cowan University, has recently opened the Allied Health Precinct.

According to its proponents, the new precinct is the first health-specific business incubator in Western Australia, providing allied health professionals spaces and services catered to their businesses’ success.

The Allied Health Precinct aims to give allied health professionals the opportunity to collaborate with other like-minded individuals. The precinct also offers services to accelerate business growth.

These services include, but are not limited to: offering general business and marketing advice, referrals to capital-raising opportunities, strategic direction and goal setting, and business workshops and webinars.

Our key goal is to provide space and support to as many allied health professionals as possible, to help them start up, grow and then ‘graduate’ from the incubator with a sustainable business, ready to enter a commercial lease.

The precinct also features state-of-the-art facilities, with 26 fully serviced offices available exclusively to allied health professionals, as well as hireable meeting and training rooms available to anyone in community.

As it is co-located with 26 similar health-based businesses and a large GP super clinic, the incubator will allow health businesses to develop referral pathways with other health practices and GP clinics.

There are also benefits to the local community, in the form of safe and easy access to a multitude of allied health professionals. As such, the precinct removes the need to travel long distances in order to receive essential healthcare services.

Businesses that provide allied or complementary medicine services are invited to join the incubator. Businesses that provide direct services to the health sector are also invited.

The Allied Health Precinct is a great opportunity for allied health professionals to gain the necessary support to start and grow their business, through expert advice and a multitude of services tailored to their needs.
