Startup West podcast 52: Amanda Walker, WA HomeStay

SW Podcast 52 Amanda Walker WAHomeStay
In episode 52 of Startup West podcast, we talk with Amanda Walker of WAHomeStay.

🎙Recorded down at Riff in the city, Charlie from Startup West talks with solo startup entrepreneur Amanda Walker, who is taking on the large accommodation sites with her own WA HomeStay.

Launched in mid 2019, Amanda saw the need to provide a local holiday accommodation marketplace to better serve the needs of home owners and holiday makers. A mum of three school-age kids, she has juggled family and startup life, and the onset of COVID, to come out the back of the pandemic busier than ever.

“… Because I’m juggling my family life, as well as the startup business, I am very deliberate with the events that I go to. I get a lot of energy from pitch events, and being around that entrepreneurial spirit. I love the youth pitch events. I find that passion, and that idea of no barriers to their thinking so refreshing…”.
