Grant and Sharon Grosser tell Startup News how they moved from teaching to establishing Australia’s leading learning management software for schools, and all the learnings in between…
Welcome to the third episode of the ‘Startup West’ podcast.
In a wide ranging chat, Startup News‘ Charlie Gunningham and Beth Caniglia talk with Sharon and Grant from SEQTA.
Huge learnings here, a 12 year journey (so far) from teaching to running Australia’s most successful learning management software company, from Joondalup…!
SHOW NOTES:
Set up in 2006 and inducted into the inaugural ‘WA Tech Business Hall of Fame’ earlier this year, Grant and Sharon Grosser’s SEQTA Software business is now the leading learning management system (LMS) across Australia’s school sector. 700+ schools in Australia use SEQTA to connect administrators, teachers, students and parents/guardians together.
Both former teachers themselves, Grant and Sharon tell the story of how they formed the company, battled in the early years, brought on investors and partners and then grew the company to the 70+ staff they have now. An inspirational journey, they both give back in many forms, and are often seen at startup events mentoring, speaking and advising other startups.
