// Work Metrics was the sole tech company (in the country) to win a Telstra Business Award in 2019.
Out of 21,000 nominations, 170 national finalists and only 4 winners in each state and territory, Work Metrics was announced as a winner of the ‘Small and Succeeding’ category for the WA Telstra Business Awards.
Founded by Dr Jeremy Nunn, Work Metrics develops software that sims to help organisations build a better workplace and workforce.
Headquartered in Perth, with offices in Central Park, Claremont and Melbourne, the company is best known for its flagship product OnlineInduction.com, which is used to manage induction and compliance for over 1.3 million users from over 200,000 businesses.
“We’re a tech company performing on a global stage,” Dr Jeremy Nunn told Startup News. “Doing that out of Perth can be an extremely challenging feat. The team really has to push the boundaries of how we can deliver and support efficient multi country customers and scaling our software globally.
“Winning this award is an acknowledgement for all that hard work and recognition of the entire team for everything they have pushed themselves to do. We really hope that it showcases the technology and innovation coming out of Perth.”
The judging process involved reviewing the strategy and vision, customers and marketing, operations, people and culture, social responsibility, financial acumen and innovation and technology of each business as well as reviewing a 2-minute video that showed the unique qualities of the business unique in the eyes of customers and staff.
Shortlisted businesses, received a site visit from the judges in order to be evaluated as a finalist.
The next steps for the awards process is the national finals in Melbourne in late November where the winners of each state compete for the national winner titles.
Last year’s winner of this category also won the nationals, so there’s no pressure Jeremy!
