Two Perth born and raised online platforms have come together in a partnership.

Founded in 2014, Perth is Ok!’s goal is to provide the ultimate local’s guide to Western Australia – a one-stop-shop for everything to eat, drink, go, see and do in Perth and beyond.

WA HomeStay is the local accommodation booking site, that has recently got onto the Plus Eight program, and was featured in a recent Startup West podcast.

The two sites have joined forces with the aim of improving local tourism.

In a joint statement, the businesses said:

Through partnering with WA HomeStay, Perth is OK! is ensuring booking monies stay within the Western Australian economy.

The WA holiday home booking platform has properties in the south west, Peel region, Jurien Bay and more.

Whilst this Eagle Bay home that recently won the Master Builders 2021 Housing Excellence Award for Best Country Home might not be on the list, the options to holiday at home at places of that calibre are attractive.

As Covid continues its scourge, we’re continuing to hear and now heed calls to holiday at home, the recent Victorian lockdowns even more cause for holidaying in our own backyard.

WA HomeStay’s Amanda Walker said, “The well-travelled path has never excited me.”

Together we can show West Aussies the incredible properties and destinations in our state that have flown under the radar. This is an opportunity for West Aussies to stay somewhere new and find a new favourite holiday spot.

The Perth-nership is also a chance to support stricken local business.

Supporting amazing local businesses is a fundamental value of our business.
