There’s three big events next week – it’s Data Science & AI week across the country, the Science on the Swan conference is on, and also the annual CyberWest Summit hits the Pan Pacific on Wednesday 10th and Thursday 11th.
Ever been hacked? Fun, isn’t it?
According to the Australian Cyber Security Centre, the number of reported cyberattacks on Australian businesses and individuals rose by 13 per cent in the 2021-22 financial year.
On average, the cyberattacks cost small businesses $39,000 and medium businesses $88,000, up by 14 per cent compared to the previous year.
Cyber is now everyone’s business, across industry and government, from space, mining, defence to education, food, logistics and real estate. Bring yourself, your team, and anyone else to help reduce cyber risk.
Supported by the CyberWest Hub, and associated sponsors including Edith Cowan University and the City of Joondalup, this 2-day event will be an accessible, world-class, with some fantastic speakers, including feature presentations from The White House’s Deputy National Cyber Director for Technology and Ecosystem Security, Camille Stewart Gloster, esq, the United States Navy’s former Deputy Director of Naval Intelligence, Terry Roberts, and the Chief Scientist of Western Australia, Professor Peter Klinken AC.
