// The $18M ‘Boosting Female Founders’ federal government grant program is now open for applications …
Last September, we brought you news of the Boosting Female Founders Initiative, which was in development at the time, which had put out the call for input.
Six months on, the program is now ready for applicants, and will close on 14th April at 5:00 PM AEST.
The program will run over three years from 2020/21 to 2022/23. It’s part of the Women’s Economic Security Package, which helps support women entering the workforce.
The new initiative aims to help female entrepreneurs overcome disadvantages in getting finance for their startups, and support them into expanding into domestic and global markets.
What do you get?
The grants are between $25,000 and $480,000.
Tier one – $25,000 to $100,000 ($140,000 if you meet additional requirements)
Tier two – $100,000 to $400,000 ($480,000 if you meet additional requirements)
Who is it for?
Startups owned and led by females who want to launch their business and expand into domestic and global markets.
How do I apply?
Before you apply, be sure to read grant guidelines and sample grant application example. These are all under the key documents section at the very bottom of this page.
Prepare your Expression of Interest (EOI) and evidence that your startup business is majorly owned and led by females.
If you’re a innovative woman looking to kickstart or expand your business, then this is for you. All the best and good luck!
