New WA venture fund FundWA has announced its first investment in the local startup sector – that of Hola Health (formerly known as ‘Pack-a-Pill’).
Hola Health’s founders Lenin Rajendran (CEO), Thiru Rajendran (CTO) and Vishnu Gopalan (CMO) describe themselves as “proud West Australians” who are on a mission to provide “affordable, accessible, and convenient primary healthcare” in Australia through their on-demand telehealth platform.
“We’re thrilled to share that FundWA chose Hola Health as their first ever startup investment,” they said in a LinkedIn post.
“FundWA’s team are personally experienced founding companies and understand the journey Hola Health is on. They’re not just investing their funds in us but also their incredible collective knowledge.
“We’d like to thank the entire FundWA team for their belief in Hola Health’s vision – Glenn Butcher, Pia Turcinov AM, Asheesh Malaney, Michael Nguyen, Glenn Murray, Trent Rachow and Emlyn Scott.”
In return, FundWA’s general partner Glenn Butcher said he was delighted in the deal…
Hola Health is a platform providing 24 hours a day on-demand telehealth. You can see a GP for a consult or script within 15 minutes, or request a medical certificate online.
FundWA was set up earlier this year, and is one of 3 new early stage VC funds supported by a 3-year WAVES Grant from the WA Government through its New Industries Fund.
