Minderoo’s Dream Venture Masterclass will begin in September and bring 40 of Australia’s top Indigenous entrepreneurs together to build business skills for growth and investor readiness, with a chance to pitch for a share in $200,000 of seed funding at the Pitch Gala in October.
Applications are now open for two cohorts (Youth from 18-30 years, and all ages) to apply online at www.dreamventure.com.au.
Applications will close on July 12.
The Dream Venture initiative will be once again run in partnership with the United Nations’ Youth Co:Lab – the largest youth social entrepreneurship program in the Asia Pacific. Through this partnership one young founder will be given the chance to travel to UNDP’s Regional Youth Summit in Asia Pacific to pitch their vision to a global audience.
“We are especially keen to see more youth inspired to participate in the program, it’s a brave step to take when you’re just starting out,” said Jo Camilleri, from Minderoo Foundation.
“We are accepting nominations as well as direct applications. Some of our applicants have a business idea and haven’t registered a business as yet and use the masterclasses and mentoring to help shape their ideas.”
