Since November 2013, this humble publication has been promoting and celebrating innovation in Western Australia. We’re now asking you for help.
We are looking for contributors who can string a sentence together, and are willing to write an article or more for our masthead. What we hope to achieve is a more rounded voice – this space is for all Western Australians and the wider audience, and we are keen to add your voice to the mix.
If you are interested in putting together 400+ words on a startup related topic, can have actionable or detailed advice, isn’t self promotional and reads well, we are keen to hear about it.
Topics we are keen to explore, include;
- Behind the scenes at your WA startup
- Lessons you’ve learnt in exciting innovation
- Advice on taxation, law or business related areas
- Growth hacking or customer acquisition stories
- Reviews on startup events you’ve attended (and will happen again)
Be mindful that are audience is wide, and so we avoid getting too technical. All articles should be in conversational Australian English and be useful for our readers. There is a longer Editorial Guidelines available, however the above pretty well covers the majority of our style.
Examples of articles that receive great interest from our readers can be seen in our recent Top 10 Articles post.
We prefer articles to have at least 2-3 images that we have license to use; either royalty free stock images or photographs you’ve taken yourself (or at least have permission to use).
In return, we’ll promote your article to thousands of readers, and happily allow a short authors bio with a link to your website or social media account. We’ll be grateful for your knowledge sharing and I’m sure our audience will be, too.
Want to know more, pitch your topic or wish to submit your written piece? Send it to either myself (email miles at this domain) or Marcus (email marcus at this domain).
