Climate Launchpad is free to enter, and is a global competition looking for cleantech and green business ideas… whether it’s renewables, food and ag, water, transport…

Whether you have an idea on the back of a napkin or a fully fledged early stage startup, everyone is welcome to apply for your chance to turn an idea into a global business.

Last year, WA-based Sunovate applied and made it through to the global finals.

Curtin University research fellow and founder of ClimateClever Dr Vanessa Rauland told Startup News that she’s helped deliver the program for several years in WA through the university’s involvement with Climate-KIC.

Selected applicants will take part in rigorous training at a two-day Boot Camp, receive coaching and mentoring from industry leaders and pitch their idea for their chance to travel overseas to the Global Pitch Final in November 2019.

At the Finals they will meet peers from 50+ countries worldwide to network, attend industry workshops with investors, and learn from global accelerator professionals.

The world’s top 10 best ideas will win access to the EIT Climate-KIC accelerator program, including major seed funding and other prize money. The competition is facilitated by Climate-KIC Australia, who can provide further pathways for Australian teams and start-ups as part of the competition.

The competition is offered in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth.
