Perth-based Constructive Software has announced the launch of Internal 3D Selections – its new interactive, 3D visualisation software.
The software allows clients to more easily change colour and material choices when designing their homes in 3D. This has the added benefit of visualising custom home plans from any angle, without the typical rendering wait time.
This challenges the traditionally expensive and time-consuming way 3D visualisations are created for custom home designs.
James Salt, Constructive Software CEO, said the team is proud to have created software that is not only a fraction of the cost of a custom render, but also can be created from existing working drawings, saving both time and money.
With this tech, clients won’t have to rely on visuals from a generic render, which aren’t particularly useful when wishing to view specific choices on individual homes, said James.
“Replacing physical brochures with a custom-branded Constructive 3D Selections Portal reduces printing costs, is more environmental and allows clients to make selections in the comfort of their own home,” he said.
Emma Lord, Constructive Client Success Manager, noted that it is no secret clients struggle to visualise what a future home would look like.
“We wanted to provide home builders with a way to inspire confidence in their customers to make decisions to speed up the selections process, while giving people building their homes peace of mind that their selections are spot on at the same time,” she said.
Accuracy and assurance
Constructive Lead Developer Dmitrii Sviridov said the team had asked themselves several questions when conceiving the software. This included how could clients visualise choices on individual homes in an accurate manner, while giving assurance.
For example, the software needed to answer questions such as whether a tile would look good as a splashback with a benchtop or whether cabinet colours will blend in well with the floor.
“It’s exciting to be pioneers in this area – our team has developed a world-first in taking working drawings and automatically mapping them to an interactive colour selections tool,” he added.
“Now clients can see it, interact with it, and confidently decide for themselves.”
The software can be accessed anywhere or any device, and integrates with Constructive’s existing Online and External 3D Selections.
