Knkt Digital has launched a no-code agency, offering businesses, startups, and venture studios a “faster and more efficient way to build and validate web apps”.
Founded by Stuart Riddle and Connor Disselkoen, Knkt Digital claims to be unique in its ability to build and launch web apps 5 times faster than traditional development methods, thanks to its use of no-code platforms like Bubble, Xano, and WeWeb. This allows teams to stay focused on executing their core business idea while leaving the technical implementation to the experts, they say.
The company has attracted overseas and national clients, including US-based dental practice optimisation firm itrac LLC. Using their no-code know-how, Knkt was able to build a custom solution for itrac with predictive insights and capabilities in just weeks. The agency is also helping a national transport company solve their logistics problems with AI augmentation.
Knkt Digital’s services include web apps, AI augmentation, and product-led growth. The agency’s no-code solutions are targetted at businesses, product teams, and venture studios looking for a technical, customer-focused partner to quickly build and validate their ideas.
The Rise of No Codes
Back in 2020, when New York City wanted to track how COVID-19 was raging through the city, speed was paramount. Their portal was up and running in three days, all without writing any code.
This was enabled by a “no-code” software development platform, created by Unqork, a New York City-based startup. The use of such platforms is on the rise, and a trend that could – some people argue – lead to ‘automated coding’.
“Imagine a world where you do not have to write code,” said Koushik Sen, a professor of computer science at the University of California, Berkeley. “Just say things and the computer does it for you—an Amazon Alexa for programming.”
Tech giants are also getting in on the act with Oracle, Salesforce, Microsoft and Alibaba all developing their own no-/low-code software development platforms. In January 2020, Google acquired a no-code platform called AppSheet. According to Gartner, a global research firm headquartered in Stamford, CT, USA, low-code platforms will be used in 65% of application development work by 2024 (1).
No Codes Odyssey
Meanwhile, the no codes market has been livening up in Perth, with the existing No Codes Odyssey, co-founded by two Perth entrepreneurs, Carl Maiorana and Elizabeth Knight, in 2021.
They each had their own startups, and wanted to help others get theirs up and running more easily.
No Code Odyssey was created to “empower the everyday human to build extraordinary things using no code technology”.
“We’re here to make creating things with technology accessible, empowering and fun,” as it says on their website.
