We all know inspiring women. From bootstrapping startup leaders to breakthrough scientists, all of these amazing women deserve recognition – and Woman in Technology WA (WiTWA) wants you to nominate them for their upcoming WiTWA Tech [+] Awards held on Friday 5 November 2021 at Crown Towers Perth.
There are 20 awards to be handed out and in 5 special categories, including Outstanding Youth Role Model and Outstanding STEM Educator. These categories aim to highlight the exceptional contribution of female leaders, mentors and protégés in their field and continue to make a positive impact on the wider WA community.
To be eligible to enter the Tech [+] 20 Awards, nominees must:
- identify as a woman
- currently reside in Western Australia
- not have won a WiTWA Tech [+] trophy in previous years and
- not be a current member of the WiTWA Central Committee nor Subcommittees.
All nominees and winners are invited to the Awards Night presentation. Not only do the winners receive a trophy, they also receive special networking opportunities and promotion within the WiTWA and wider tech [+] community.
Although the Awards is centred around women and their contributions, there is a special Outstanding Allyship Award category that recognises an ally who doesn’t identify as a woman but has shown significant support to women as allies in the mutual quest for gender equality.
To be eligible to enter the Outstanding Allyship Award, nominees must:
- not identify as a woman
- currently reside in Western Australia
- not have won the WiTWA Tech [+] trophy in previous years and
- not be a current member of the WiTWA Central Committee nor Subcommittees.
