TEDxPerth 2014 will present some of Perth’s finest thinkers and doers who have “ideas worth spreading” from across a range of fields and disciplines.
TED is a nonprofit devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. TEDxPerth, where x = independently organized TED event, aims to be a beacon for all that is remarkable, challenging and thought-provoking in Perth, and to both celebrate and raise the intellectual ambition and culture of WA.
The day will run from 9.30am til 5.00pm Australian WST and will feature four sessions of thought-provoking talks by some of Perth’s most remarkable people. Hailing from a range of disciplines, speakers will share compelling stories and ideas that will re-energise and inspire you. Between the talks there will be remarkable musical performances as well as interludes from hilarious and thoughtful MCs.
The main event at the Perth Concert Hall 2014
The TEDxPerth 2014 event will be held at Perth Concert Hall. Voted ‘Best Acoustics in Australia’, the venue is located in the city centre with a view to Perth’s most famed natural treasure, the Swan River. Ticket holders will enjoy remarkable talks while experiencing the cutting-edge technology and comfort settings at Perth Concert Hall.
Volunteering at TEDxPerth 2014
TEDxPerth is also looking for reliable, diligent, can-do volunteers to assist on the day of the event and the day prior (3 October). Volunteers will either be stationed at the Perth Concert Hall, or at other event sites. A call out for volunteers will be made soon. Check their website to find out more.
