The annual Sydney based Tech23 event has announced the startups who will appear on stage, and we’re pleased to see one Western Australian company make the cut.
ResApp Health Limited (ASX:RAP) has been announced as the only WA company to appear at the prestigious Tech23 event, which is pitched as being an ‘Unmissable celebration of innovation”. CEO and Managing Director, Dr Tony Keating will be taking the stage at the event.
Held on 11 October in Sydney, Tech23 brings together investors, entrepreneurs and innovators, to showcase world-class startups from Perth to Brisbane, Wollongong to Adelaide, all with high-growth potential and technical expertise.
An integral part of the ecosystem, Tech23 providing much-needed support to the startups who are tackling big problems and creating solutions that will change our world.

ResApp Health Limited (ASX:RAP) is developing healthcare solutions to assist doctors and empower patients to diagnose and manage respiratory disease without the need for additional hardware.
ResApp was founded in September 2014 to commercialise technology developed by Associate Professor Udantha Abeyratne that uses sound to diagnose respiratory disease. ResApp has been granted an exclusive license from The University of Queensland for technology that uses sound to diagnose respiratory diseases including pneumonia, bronchitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and asthma.
About Dr Tony Keating
Tony Keating has over nine years experience in commercialising technology. Tony created the initial business strategy for ResApp and has led the commercialisation of ResApp’s technology to date.
Previously, Tony was Director, Commercial Engagement at UniQuest, one of the global leaders in commercialisation of university technology. While at UniQuest, Tony held roles as interim CEO and Non-Executive Director for a number of privately-held, venture-capital funded start-up companies.
Prior to joining UniQuest Tony held business development and engineering management roles at Exa Corporation, a US-based software company that is now listed on the NASDAQ.
