Innovation Bay is holding their Perth Angel Dinner again on Wednesday 18th May 2016, and they’re looking for new pitches.
The Innovation Bay format is nice and simple. A roomful of prospective investors, a few people pitching their ideas. Hopefully enough investors like the idea to put some money into it. The deals are done between individuals, Innovation Bay just provides the introduction event.
The format has seen some successes, which you can read about here. The event is a great opportunity to refine the idea, get some feedback, maybe some connections, and hopefully some seed funding.
They’re mandating at least one female founder at each pitch night, which is a great initiative to try and correct the gender imbalance in the community.
