The WA Life Sciences Innovation Hub’s next WA MTP Sector Spotlight featuring VitalTrace.

The WA Life Sciences Innovation Hub invites you to join the monthly WA MTP Sector Spotlight Series event in partnership with The Centre for Entrepreneurial Research and Innovation (CERI).

About this event

Our monthly event series is an opportunity for representatives from across the MTP sector to connect, collaborate and learn about upcoming opportunities, and hear the stories and successes of WA organisations developing health and medical innovations. Join us for networking and conversation over light refreshments afterwards.

We’re pleased to be delivering this event in partnership with The Centre for Entrepreneurial Research and Innovation (CERI), a social enterprise supporting the next generation of WA’s entrepreneurs. Their programs have been designed to educate and empower early-stage entrepreneurs, PhD students and visionaries within the WA community.

About VitalTrace

VitalTrace is a medical device company aiming to improve outcomes for mothers and children during labour and delivery through its innovative new fetal monitoring device. The company’s mission is to develop cutting edge technology to empower all obstetricians and midwives to deliver the greatest outcomes for mothers and babies during childbirth, an area that hasn’t developed substantially for decades.

VitalTrace has grown from a big idea to a product granted fast-track device designation by the US FDA, soon to enter first-in-human clinical trials. Their growing team of over 30 people is establishing advanced manufacturing capabilities and successfully secured dilutive and non-dilutive funding

About our speakers

Dr Arjun Kaushik – Co-Founder and CEO

Dr Arjun Kaushik is a medical doctor and entrepreneur. Arjun’s journey to becoming Co-Founder and CEO of VitalTrace is a combination of his experience in clinical medicine, business, and startups, complemented by a diverse academic background spanning three continents. His expertise encompasses investment, project management, tech/product development, and essential aspects of medical device commercialization.

Dr Celine Royet – Head of Regulatory & Quality

Dr Celine Royet has over 18 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries in various roles including, Quality Assurance, Quality Operations, and Regulatory Affairs in international companies dealing with a vast range of products. She has a deep understanding of the whole pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturing process from research to development and the advanced marketing phases of a product including distribution. She has had roles in leadership teams focusing on establishing company strategy and has experience with TGA, FDA, EMA and the main European Regulatory agencies. She also has extensive knowledge and expertise of ICH regulations, GMP, GCP & GDP and ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and ISO 14971.
