On Friday, July 26th, Spacecubed and CORE Innovation Hub signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Forge Innovation & Ventures.

Through this MOU, expansion-ready Indian hardware tech startups from Forge’s portfolio will have the option to join the Perth Landing Pad, powered by Spacecubed. CORE Innovation Hub will also explore knowledge exchange and innovation ecosystem-building opportunities, particularly for decarbonisation, mining tech, automation, and robotics.

Among India’s top incubators and accelerators, Forge Innovation & Ventures implements open innovation to deliver transformation by enabling both the public and private sectors to collaborate with startups and technology and growth partners. Forge currently has over 100 active hardware tech startups, across the climate resilience, clean energy, mining and resources, defence, and health sectors.

“Forge is excited to enter into this strategic partnership with Spacecubed and CORE to drive the transformation of core industrial companies operating in Western Australia, enabling them to innovate faster and better by harnessing the power of innovation and technology, and ultimately promoting innovation, sustainability and economic growth via strategic partnerships with hardware startups from Forge’s portfolio and extended ecosystem,” said Vish Sahasranamam, Forge’s Co-founder and CEO.

The MOU aligns with the WA Government’s DiversifyWA strategic framework and will support further investment and growth in the Western Australian innovation ecosystem.

“We aim to create a pipeline of high-growth businesses to Western Australia for our Perth Landing Pad program, and bring in new technology and innovation to the State. Signing an MoU with Forge helps us achieve this, and will also provide a pathway for WA businesses to access international markets,” said Charlotta Kemp, Program Manager for the Perth Landing Pad.

The Perth Landing Pad is co-funded by the State Government through the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation’s $25.8 million New Industries Fund (NIF), and the City of Perth.
