We always love telling stories about WA companies that are doing big things, especially when they operate in, or support, the startup ecosystem.
Jamie Vine of Liberty Flexible Workspaces is one of those stories. Liberty, alongside Spacecubed, are the OG’s of the shared office and co-working movement that has enabled Perth to grow its startup ecosystem to the point where it’s a leading ecosystem in Australia. Many Perth-founded, now world-famous startups have, at some stage, called these shared offices home.
This week, Liberty announced that it’s adding 7,000 sqm to its portfolio by November 2024 with new locations in Sydney, Brisbane, and Perth. Yep, that’s a lot of space.
Those new locations will be:
- North Sydney — six floors, covering 2,000 square metres at 56 Berry Street set to open in August.
- Brisbane CBD — two floors, covering 1,500 square metres at 127 Creek Street opening in October.
- St Leonards — 1,300 square metres at 558 Pacific Highway in November.
“With Sydney CBD office rents now in excess of $1000 per sqm, our market entry strategy has been to select well-located buildings, within commercial hubs, where the CBD is accessible in 5-10 minutes and we can provide a quality product at a fraction of the cost,” said Liberty’s Founder, Jamie Vine.
In addition to the abovementioned east coast locations, in August, they’re also set to open two floors at Westralia Square on St Georges Tce in Perth.
