This time last week, ten local startup founders pitched their startups in front of a sold out audience at the WA Museum.
Pitching is hard enough at the best of times, so when you add in an audience of 200+ people, it can be quite daunting.
The latest instalment of A Night Of Innovation was hosted last week and is quickly becoming an event that is seen as one of the best and most welcoming pitch events in Australia. The pitch night had three prominent judges from the Australian startup and tech ecosystem:

Concha Date
Concha is a talk-before-text dating app. When you match with someone, you can send a voice note or have an in-app call. This enables users to get to know if there is a genuine connection or not, and prevents users being ghosted or catfished
Twisted
If you didn’t know, most molecules exist as their left- or right-handed forms, and many molecular interactions only occur with one of the two forms. This means that half of a chiral product can be ineffective, be absorbed more slowly, or even cause unwanted side effects.
Currently, chiral purification is achieved using High-Performance Liquid Chromatography, which is expensive, wasteful, and limited to outputting just a few milligrams daily.
Twisted’s devices generate left and right-handed electromagnetic radiation, they have the ability to distinguish between the chirality of substances placed inside them, as well as to physically sort substances into their left and right-handed components by imparting different momenta to them.
Achieving this in free-space and in macroscopic bulk volume devices means removing the bottleneck of current batch-limited techniques, paving the way for preparative-scale chiral purification.
