VIDEO INTERVIEW: Startup News’ latest contributor, Stuart Kidd from Apps People, caught up with SpacetoCo…
Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz said, “Click your heels together three times and say ‘There’s no place like home’ and you’ll be there.”
Airbnb, on the other hand, allows you to click your mouse about three times and you can be in someone else’s home anywhere in the world. That’s all well and good if you’d like to stay the night but what if you only want to hold a social event like a wedding or a training session with your team?
SpacetoCo, a startup founded by trio Daniel McCullen, Daniel Franco and Jeremy Hurst lets you hire out warehouses, lecture theatres, back gardens, creative spaces and even small bars. Gulp by the hour. Event organisers will drool over the choice.
Some local government associations have already jumped on board including the City of Vincent.
What’s new?
Announced overnight, the trio have been accepted into muru-D’s Plus Eight 2018 accelerator program – now in its second year. If last year’s cohort is anything to go by then this sharing economy startup will be going spaces. The other 5 companies to join SpacetoCo are listed on the Spacecubed website.
