Some nights in Perth are about entertainment; this one’s about purpose. 10×10 Philanthropy is taking over His Majesty’s Theatre this Thursday to raise money for three local not-for-profits that are tackling some of the biggest social challenges of our generation.
This isn’t your regular fundraiser, though. Each of the not-for-profits will have five minutes to pitch their ideas to a panel of Sharks for Good, who’ll probe their models, challenge their assumptions, and unpack their impact. The audience then joins the conversation, asking questions and pledging their support through tokens that translate into real dollars for the causes they connect with most.
You can be part of the audience. Tickets to the event are available here, with all funds going to the charities on the night.
Meet the NFPs that are pitching
These are the organisations that the event is all about. They’ve been selected by the volunteers who are organising the event based on the impact they’re delivering for the community.
McGovern Foundation — Driving opportunity and independence for all

For many West Australians, a driver’s licence is the key to independence — a ticket to employment, education, healthcare, and connection. But for some people, getting a licence isn’t that simple. The McGovern Foundation removes the barriers that prevent disadvantaged people from getting behind the wheel, empowering them to gain not just mobility, but independence.
20Talk — Youth-led, relatable mental health education
Born from tragedy and driven by purpose, 20Talk is rewriting the rules of mental health awareness. Founded by two mates who turned personal loss into a movement, 20Talk delivers honest, relatable education to young people through social media, training, and live events. Their mission is to become the most relatable mental health charity of the 21st century, and their approach, grounded in authenticity and connection, is already resonating across Australia.
Plenty Gifting — Tackling food insecurity through simple acts of giving
If kindness had a flavour, it might taste like this. Plenty Gifting is a Perth-born profit-for-purpose business offering beautifully prepared meals as an alternative to flowers. Each gift delivers twice: once to the recipient, and again to someone in need, with 100% of profits supporting food relief programs across WA.
Shil Shanghavi, the man with the mic

Holding it all together on the night is Shil Shanghavi — a globally recognised speaker, storyteller, and event host whose presence on stage is equal parts warmth, wit, and style.
Known for his sharp suits, signature sneakers, and ability to turn any room into a conversation, Shil will be the one who connects it all together on the night, ensuring that everyone has a blast. He’s recognised as a LinkedIn Top Voice for Public Speaking and in 2021, was featured in an award-winning documentary about his life and journey from stutter to stage. Shil has inspired audiences in more than 80 countries.
