ZOOM: How to conduct rich customer interviews

Each week we bring you a 1-hour online workout to keep your innovation skills sharp as we create the future of work together.
Empathising with your customers or clients is key to making sure that you understand the core of the problem at hand, and that your solution works for the people who actually have to use it. While there are many ways to gather data in this empathy process, the most powerful way to get new insights about what your customers want and need is to sit down and talk to them.
In this SkillGym workout, we’ll explore how to conduct customer interviews, from designing and structuring your question set and finding participants through to building rapport and knowing when and how to follow up and dig deeper into an answer. After this session you’ll be fully prepared to get out and learn how you can better serve your customers.
