Emyria is developing new care models for patients with unmet needs by using novel treatments and by bringing together patients, clinicians, researchers and medical innovators.
The company aims to test, validate and develop novel treatments and therapies in the real world, accelerating drug development by pioneering new ways to collect, standardise and analyse dynamic patient data and clinical evidence.
During this Spotlight event, Emyria’s Managing Director Dr Michael Winlo will discuss the company’s evolution from operating as Emerald Clinics to Emyria, the opportunities in the medicinal cannabis space for the WA life sciences sector, and their medical grade remote platform Openly – which has Class II registration with the TGA and won the ICT Service Transformation for the Digital Consumer award (Corporate) at the Australian Computer Society Digital Disruptors Awards.
Dr Winlo has extensive experience in leading high-growth teams. Prior to Emyria, he served as CEO of Linear Clinical Research and, before that, lived in Silicon Valley where he worked for Palantir, helping major healthcare institutions in the US and UK solve complex data integration and analysis challenges.
Dr Winlo holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Western Australia, and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
