Systems thinking is all about looking for relationships and patterns to help us make sense of the world.
With designers working in more and more messy contexts on increasingly complex problems, systems thinking offers us a great skillset to complement our existing capabilities, helping us to understand what’s holding wicked problems in place and how we might shift a system in the right direction.
In this free 90-minute SkillGym session we’ll aim to demystifying the dark art of systems thinking, exploring some of its key concepts and practical application. We’ll offer you tools and activities you can use to bring systems thinking into your own work as a designer and innovator, and if we’re successful, you’ll leave feeling more confident in your skills as a systems thinker.
Perfect for human-centred designers, innovation leaders, and anyone working in complex social systems, this session is an accessible introduction to systems thinking and how it can be helpful in the world of design and innovation.
