Happy new year, product community!
We’re excited to announce that our first event for this year will be the internationally renown Petra Wille, covering the topic of storytelling – an essential skill for product people.
Petra will talk about the evolutionary advantage of telling good stories and why everybody has the power and ability to create them. Plus, she will share some hands-on tips and proven frameworks to help you improve your storytelling capabilities.
This session will be an in-person event, with plenty of time to ask Petra questions after her virtual presentation.
5.15pm – 5.45pm – Arrive, drinks & nibbles (optional)
5.45pm – 6.35pm – Petra’s presentation and Q&A
6.35pm – 7.30pm – Networking, drinks and nibbles (optional)
**Please bring PhotoID with you as it will be required to sign in at the Bankwest Place Murray Street entrance.**

Petra Wille is an independent product leadership coach and author who’s been helping product teams boost their skill sets and up their game since 2013. For the past four years, her work has focused on helping product leaders build outcome-oriented product teams.
Petra is dedicated to sharing her knowledge with the broader product community. In January 2021, Petra published STRONG Product People: A Complete Guide to Developing Great Product Managers. The book has already generated a lot of buzz in the product community with Martin Eriksson (Founder of ProductTank and Co-Founder of Mind the Product) calling it “the book we all needed on how to coach and empower our teams.”
To help even more product leaders become good coaches, she developed the #52questions coaching card set in 2016. Alongside her freelance work, Petra is the co-organizer of Product at Heart in Hamburg, Germany.
*“We learn from a very young age that storytelling helps us to get what we want. Stories light up our brains, entertain us, captivate us, and help us gain new insights. And this is why, as product people, storytelling is an essential skill. It’s the key to sharing our vision and ideas with our teams, our stakeholders, and our companies at large.*
*But many of us have strong inner critics that prevent us from being confident storytellers. In this talk, I offer some tools and tricks to help you overcome your inner critic and become a better storyteller.”*
