ONLINE: From high-growth to survival mode
27 May @ 7:30 am - 9:00 am
The startup scene was thriving when Marlon Juenemann and his three co-founders decided to establish a fintech company in Iran.
They managed to attract more than E1M from private investors based on a 20-slide pitch-deck, the highest seed funding round at the time. The company grew from 0 to 100 employees within 9 months and boasted an enviable hockey-stick growth curve.
But then, everything changed…
Unfavourable political developments forced them to redefine their entire strategy and they went from being a high-growth, successful tech start-up to operating in survival mode literally overnight.
The word ‘crisis’ understates what they went through. They had to battle on all fronts every day and Marlon’s entrepreneurial skills were tested like never before.
