NASA Space Apps Challenge 2020 Info Night

15 September @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

NASA Space Apps 2020 is going virtual – Log on September 15th to get everything you need to know about the Perth challenge!

Online but local: NASA Space Apps Perth is heading online. Join us on the 15th of September to find out what 2020 virtual space apps will look like, how to create teams, how to access mentors, and how we can make the 2020 hackathon one to remember!

From the NASA Space Apps team:

“In light of the COVID-19 pandemic and in the interest of our global community’s health and safety, NASA and the Space Apps Global Organizing Team have made the difficult decision to make the 2020 hackathon an all-virtual event. Each local virtual event will be hosted by one of our Space Apps Local Leads — event leaders who will help connect registrants from their local communities to each other and to NASA. All participants will be invited to attend a global opening ceremony on October 2, which will be streamed on YouTube.

Based on the success of our first all-virtual hackathon — the Space Apps COVID-19 Challenge, which took place May 30-31, 2020 — we demonstrated that a virtual Space Apps event can foster the learning, innovation, and collaboration of an in-person hackathon. The 15,000+ participants who joined us from 150 countries produced outstanding projects. We have confidence that Space Apps 2020 will enjoy the same success.

As the hackathon nears, we will be sharing new resources for participants, Local Leads, Ambassadors, Subject-Matter Experts, and our broader community to ensure that you are prepared to “Take Action” from wherever you are in the world.”
