From Brew to Buyout: Nowhereman Brewing Co and it’s crafty acquisition

In 2013, Reece Wheadon had a vision to create a place for great for people to hang out, drink amazing beer and eat amazing food. Five years later, he opened Nowhereman Brewing Co in ‘the middle of nowhere’ — West Leederville – A suburb that was, back then, somewhere you pass through to get to somewhere cooler 🙂

But it wasn’t long before the mission was accomplished. The craft beer scene was exploding and great people were indeed coming to hang out, drink great beer and eat amazing food. Startup meetup groups were even choosing it to host their monthly casual get togethers!

Fast forward to 2023, and it was recently announced that Otherside Brewing’s parent company, Triple-1-Three, is acquiring Nowhereman Brewing Co!

This Wednesday, Nowhereman’s founder, Reece Wheadon will be sharing his learnings and tales on what it takes to start a hospitality business, surviving a pandemic, the story around the acquisition itself and more.

He’ll also be talking about the over-attachment to brands and the risk of being clingy – an issue he see’s all too often in the beer industry and definitely flows into other industries as well.

Reece’s learnings and experience will be enlightening for any founder, regardless of your industry, so come along and start the day inspired!
