Presentation Highlights:

The online world is moving and growing at an exponential rate, particularly with the onset and implications of COVID-19. The growth also brings with it a greater threat of cyberattack. HyprFire is one of Australia’s newest cybersecurity companies, having spun out of Curtin University in January 2021. HyprFire’s mission is to power its customers’ active cyber defence systems against east-west attacks.

Please join LESANZ for a unique journey into the fast-evolving landscape of Cyber Security and the implications for the Privacy conundrum. Gain intriguing insights from the team at HyprFire as they navigate us through their innovation and commercialisation voyage, along with a live demonstration of their award-winning “Firebug” solution based on novel Power AI technology.

In addition, the HyprFire team will be joined by RSM for a panel discussion where the following topics will be explored:

  • The innovation pathway in designing and developing unique cyber technology
  • The growth and commercialisation journey from a university startup to a spinout company
  • The critical importance of Security & Privacy advisory and how new cyber technologies play a strategic role

The HyprFire Team

Tim Jones – is the Managing Director of HyprFire and has an extensive C-level background in running technology businesses. Tim is a former technology and IP lawyer by trade who was bitten by the ‘tech bug’. Tim has launched numerous software and hardware products and been involved in a number of significant technology capital raisings.  Tim is a former overall winner of the Mitsubishi Australia Innovator of the Year Award.

Stefan Prandl – is the Inventor & CTO of HyprFire. As a former Curtin researcher & lecturer and experienced threat-hunter & forensic analyst for ES2, Stefan has firsthand understanding of the evolving challenges in cyber security. When he’s not writing code and staring at pcap files, you can find him enjoying coffee with his wife, doing some kind of incident response, or trying to explain to his non-technical friends what it is he actually does.

David Hack – is the Growth Product Manager at HyprFire. As a motivated networker, learner and leader, David thrives on connecting people and achieving results. This is seen in David’s strong commitment to social inclusion and poverty alleviation efforts across various rewarding Board roles.

The RSM Team

Steve Elias – is a Principal in RSM’s national R&D Tax and Government Incentives team and will be the host of the event.

Riaan Bronkhorst – is a Senior Manager in RSM’s Risk Advisory Services team, delivering specialty advisory services in Cyber Security & Privacy across governance, data analysis and risk management.
