Perth Podcast Festival presents, How to create an anti-viral podcast, presented by Clare Reid and Mike Drysdale from Dear Storyteller.
Ditch the idea of producing the next viral podcast by niching down your audience even further. Why? Only 2 in 10 Australian’s listen to podcasts. But, of that group, they’re listening to an average of 6 eps per week. People who listen to podcasts are hyper-engaged but they’re certainly not everyone.
As the team behind The Week in Brand Storytelling (TWIBS), they chat about what people want from a podcast – the top reason is (no prizes for guessing this one) entertainment – and the mechanics of successful branded podcasts. They’ll also discuss iterating your show to match your audience’s changing needs.
For the second half of the workshop, the team will be filming a LIVE episode of TWIBS!
