Corporate TeaDao ($30)
17 May @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm$30
Welcome to the Corporate TeaDao workshop, designed for 21st century Australians working in a busy and successful office environment.
In the modern age, office environments can be a great place to earn a living. However, we face many challenges in these spaces ranging from prolonged sitting, an over-dependence on coffee and other stimulants, work-related stress, long work hours, social seclusion and isolation.
Most Australian’s working in the corporate environment drink tea and/or coffee every day, though the quality of these teas is often very low quality. There is an enormous difference between most tea consumed in corporate offices and teas that are potentially available.
High quality teas of known origin that are properly processed have been scientifically proven to provide a huge range of health benefits.
For example good teas:
- boost neural connectivity
- improve cognitive functioning and memory
- reduce cortisol levels
- balance brain hemispheres
- have anti inflammatory properties and free radical scavengers
good for digestion and metabolism
- add more & hyperlink the research bits
Tea can be drunk individually or in a group setting. Sharing tea with others is especially popular in Chinese or Japanese tea traditions, which emphasise human connection and participation. There is hardly any other activity in the modern corporate world that allows friends and colleagues to simply sit together and share a beautiful, relaxing but energising experience, discussing work, life or…simply sitting in a moment of blissful silence. Tea creates a space for true human connection to take place.
