This June, Hackathon participants will be asked to provide solutions to five Challenges that will help WA Police keep West Australians safe. These challenges have been selected
to provide an inspiring launchpad for keen technologists to explore how Generative
AI technologies like Chat GPT, Whisper, and Dall-E could be used to improve the
safety of West Australians.
With a $10K prize pool on offer, this is the perfect space for students and developers to learn how Generative AI technologies can be combined for impactful results. All skills are welcome!
Venue: All Hackathon event components will be held at Spacecubed, Perth CBD.
Launch Event Sundowner – Friday 21 June, 5-8pm
This event sees us Launch the Hackathon weekend with the announcements of the Challenges and Prizes to the Hackathon Participants. This event will see a lot of observers and other attendees at the event and is a great networking opportunity.
Hackathon Weekend:
Saturday 22nd June, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
Sunday 23rd June, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (including Pitch Event & Awards Ceremony)
Pitches & Award Ceremony – Sunday 23 June, Pitches 2 – 4pm; Award Ceremony 4 – 5pm
The Teams will pitch their ideas to our Judging Panel Sunday afternoon – this is when the best and brightest of WA demonstrate what they built over the weekend. The Award Ceremony is also a moment of great energy and comradery where we get to award the best prototypes to the winning teams.
Catering will be provided.
