So Media Group completes acquisition of Perth-based marketing agency AmpersandMC

Perth-based digital media publisher and startup So Media Group (SMG) has announced their completed acquisition of full-service market agency AmpersandMC to increase their number of clients and grow cliental services.

SMG provides clients and brands with advertising campaign opportunities and marketing services through the web and social networks, while creating content for audiences through its national network of new media platforms.

SMG is behind the suite of sites such as So Perth, a platform that encapsulates all things Perth, from promoting news, to recommendations on what to see, do, eat, and drink.

Another site SMG runs is So Where Next, a national travel publisher promoting the latest travel news and trends from across the globe.

So Binge is another site which acts as a national entertainment platform, providing readers with everything they should be “bingeing” on, from streaming platforms, to eateries.

With the acquisition completed, AmpersandMC will operate under SMG with founder Alison Balch joining SMG’s advisory board.

AmpersandMC is an established strategic marketing agency known for delivering local and national marketing campaigns, and Ms Balch is elated to be joining forces with the SMG team.

SMG chief operating officer and Startup WA chairman Jason Balchand says the acquisition will be a stepping stone in growing their business in the right direction.
