CSIRO is encouraging budding innovators to apply for two of its free programs geared specifically to help startups boost areas such as innovation performance and customer discovery.

SME Collaboration Nation Lead Dr. George Feast has invited businesses and startups of all industries keen to explore research and development (R&D) to sign up and benefit from these programs, especially CSIRO’s Innovate to Grow Program which is specifically geared towards companies in cyber security.

The self-paced, 10-week program features an engaging virtual learning program that helps small to medium sized businesses (SMEs) develop actionable business insights and strategies for leveraging research and development to meet specific business needs.

At CSIRO, we know that the changing nature of cyber security threats demands professionals in a variety of industries, solving security issues that result from digital devices connected to the internet or a network.

we are proud to have worked with smes from across WA and this online program means that regionally-based businesses have equally BENEFITED from this experience.

Apart from providing participants with the tools and and information to help them understand what’s involved with R&D, participants can expect:

  • to work alongside other like-minded SMEs and build their networks,
  • work with a sector or R&D mentor, and
  • hear from innovation and industry experts, exposing participants to vast industry knowledge.

To get the most out of this program, applicants must be working in the cyber security industry.

Applications for the Innovate to Grow program close on Monday 14 February 2022 and will start on 10 March 2022, and more information can be found here.

To participate in ON Prime, applicants must apply with a team of two to six people with at least one person that is a researcher at an Australian research organisation.
