Here is some information on some of the latest state government grant programs to be announced, both of which have closing dates for submissions in early July.

Regional Economic Development Grants

The Regional Economic Development (RED) Grant is a state government initiative that will invest $28.8 million over five years towards projects to “create economic growth and long term sustainability in regional communities”.

Each of the Regional Development Commissions (RDC) will manage the grant round process and will provide advice to applicants during the application process.

Applications will close on 7 July 2020.

Clean Energy Future Fund

The Clean Energy Future Fund (CEFF) was established to provide funding to support the implementation of innovative clean energy projects in WA.

The $9.28 million fund will be disbursing $2 million in 2020/21, and is looking for projects that contribute to one or more of the following outcomes:

  • Significant, cost-effective reduction in greenhouse gas emissions below projected (or baseline) emissions as a direct result of the clean energy project;
  • Design, deployment, testing or demonstration of innovative clean energy projects likely to deliver community benefits or lead to broad adoption and significant reductions in greenhouse gas emissions. 

Please allow enough time to submit your application as large attachments may take longer to be received via email.

Submissions are deemed to be received at the time they are received by the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation.

Applications will close on 13 July 2020.
