The annual INCITE Awards are back for its 29th time this year, with applications closing on the 27th of February.

The awards recognise outstanding performance and contributions by members of the ICT and telecommunications community in Western Australia.

For more information see the INCITE Awards how to enter page.

Originally starting in 1991 under the name Western Australian Information Technology and Telecommunication Awards (WAITTA), the awards have supported the successful progression or market adaptation of over 500 digital projects by WA’s tech leaders and organisations or businesses.

Winners of the award receive a trophy and certificate, along with entry to the National iAwards or ACS Digital Disruptor Awards.

Applications to the awards are made online here.

In past years, winners include well known startups like Inglewood based uDrew, whom also won WA Innovator of the year in 2018, internet safety product Family Zone, Noisy Guts, an AI technology for IBS detection, and HealthEngine.

Not just a recognition of excellent talent, the awards are also a chance for the best and brightest to show their mettle:

“Through the Awards, we have provided pathways for West Australian innovators to showcase their often ‘world-first’ technology to national and international markets, created investment opportunities for growth and delivered industry mentoring for continued success.”

Sue Findlay, INCITE Awards Chair.

The 29th INCITE Awards are open to all WA students, companies, organisations and government agencies in the categories of:

  • Smarter Communities
  • Social Impact
  • Startup of the Year

  • Research & Innovation Project of the Year
