“We are very excited to announce that Ticketbooth, along with sister companies Token RFID and Audiencetools, has been acquired by US event technology giant Patron Technology. ?”, said an announcement made a few days ago on Ticketbooth’s various social pages.

“All staff will remain in their current positions … Ticketbooth clients will also over the coming months have access to the full Patron Technology product suite setting the new standard event organisers should expect!”

Established in Perth in 2010, TicketBooth is one of the leading independents in the Australian, New Zealand and European ticketing space.

Patron Technology is a global event technology company, with a wide product offering including ticketing, data driven engagement tools, experiential marketing and mobile app solutions.

The three Australian companies – Ticketbooth, Token RFID and Audiencetools – will continue to operate as standalone businesses with a strong focus on the APAC market.

“We’re thrilled to be joining Patron Technology’s groundbreaking mission of disrupting the event technology industry”, Ticketbooth’s CEO and Founder Simon Guerrero said.

“Throughout the Ticketbooth, Token and Audiencetools journey our key mission has been to provide first class event technology to our valued clients, and this aligns perfectly with Patron’s goals.”

The Sydney-based team has developed and scaled a number of products in their tenure, including advanced cashless RFID platform Token, and event marketing software Audiencetools.

“Ticketbooth, Token, and Audiencetools have been on our radar for a long period of time, and we are so excited to have them join the Patron family”, Marc Jenkins, Patron Technology CEO, said.

“The innovative solutions these companies offer complements and enhances our ever growing suite of event technology tools, and we are looking forward to accelerating our growth both in the APAC region and worldwide”.

The acquisition of Ticketbooth, Token and Audiencetools is Patron Technology’s ninth acquisition over the last two years.

It has been previously reported that the Ticketbooth founders had turned down a $22M offer (from an undisclosed suitor), having just launched the Token and Audiencetools businesses in 2017.
