Geomoby LogoAfter touring Australia on a visit and not knowing where to find a toilet, French entrepreneur Christophe Baudia built Aussie Loo, which became quite popular and inspired Christophe to explore the concept further.

Using your location and a list of known coordinates of landmarks and other points of interest Christophe was able to build other apps. By analysing the common problems and solutions in the geolocation space, and keeping tabs on the latest technologies GeoMoby was born.

Attending a Founder Institute course in 2013 proved to be invaluable training and forced Christophe to assess his and GeoMoby’s strengths and weaknesses.

A Gumtree ad for a co-founder led to Zac Durber joining Chris on the team and when I met with them they seemed tired but excited. One of the reasons could have been that Zac was about to go offline on a well deserved overseas family holiday.

In their time together, they have implemented a developer API and partnered with Buzztouch – a US based open source “app engine” that powers tens of thousands of iPhone, iPad and Android applications.

They have been working with Pattersons Securities to get all their paperwork in order and expect to pitching for investment in the near future.Geo Map
